Eileen, a former pupil at both the Mercy Convent School and St. Patrick's Vocational School is a native of the town. She is also the niece of Tom Higgins, founder of Irish Pyschics, Weathertel and Quiz-call. Eileen has been writing for some time but has now secured her first publishing contract for a factually-based thriller titled Remote Control. The book will be released in late summer this year.

Some of the reviews of 'Remote Control' 'I had not picked up a book to read for the last two or three years, this book has everything, I felt completely submerged after just the first page, no book has ever done that, I could not put it down for a second, i didnt want to! It was an absolute joy to read, it costs over six quid to go to the cinema these days for a night out, I had two nights of great literature for the same price. I look forward with eager anticipation to reading more of EM Higgins work, a name to remember I think!'
